@berkberkman I kinda don't remember any of them fondly in particular because I somewhat hated it until I got cable TV lmao

So from the 90s to like later 00. From the 90s, the one I recall liking "the best" was Mr.Dressup and Sesame Street probably, but my milage varied greatly. Otherwise from the latter years, I dunno, it was just something I tuned in sometimes when I was bored as fuck during summer, sick days, whatever else

As for Nanalan, that aired at some point on YTV (cable). It was quite alright
@berkberkman But there was nothing that I hated as much as Theodore Tugboat

But yeah, overall it was mostly "shit I'm 'forced' to watch because there's absolutely genuinely nothing else better". The lack of understanding didn't help, but I always thought the CBC lineup was pretty mediocre whether it was the weekdays shows or even the weekend. What we got in French generally completely one upped the weekend CBC lineup to a crazy level
@coolboymew The only public children's show on TV that I remembered hating was Wishbone on PBS Kids. It was mostly because I didn't like dogs as a little kid including this one (it didn't help that the realistic talking dog's mouth did not move at all throughout the show), and also that the old stories and histories were just too boring for me to understand in the first place. I didn't even care about whatever deep tragedy (or whatever theme) was going on at all. Then again, I had trouble with English class and reading stuff back then. The picture books were what I loved, but not for the words.
