@mushroom_soup That's because the women saying this refuse to step inside of a gym.
@ceo_of_monoeye_dating @mushroom_soup it's actually even simpler than that
@nigger @ceo_of_monoeye_dating so yeah that just proves the original tweet, men in general aren't very good looking
@mushroom_soup @nigger This is a survey of both men and women who partake in online dating, and that pool of people has a disproportionate amount of people who completely fail to partner up.
This data proves neither of the points either of you are trying to make. One could argue that women who remain in the dating pool are shallow and tend to rate men harshly, or that men who remain in the dating pool are disproportionately ugly.

@ceo_of_monoeye_dating @nigger women are said to rate men harshly when they start to approximate the way men rate women on their appearance i've found
@mushroom_soup @nigger This makes sense; men and women are simply different, and if you hold men to the same beauty standards as women then men are obviously going to look ugly.
But honestly if you want to go find the men who are putting effort into how their bodies look and function the correct place to go is the gym. Because that's where those men are, that is the place they go to improve their appearance. There are a lot of men there who are more attractive than me, and it is a near-daily occurrence for me to look at a guy and go "yeah that guy looks good, I hope I can look like that one day."
If you hang out at fucking McDonalds or Burger King and you look at the men coming in there obviously they're going to be ugly lardasses.

@ceo_of_monoeye_dating @mushroom_soup that is a good point, but I've seen this "attractiveness isn't normally distributed you incel chud" narrative in more rigorous contexts
