@binkle
(if I understand what you mean)
5G != 5GHz
I think 5G is just a name for a protocol designed to work from 5GHz to 150GHz.

The point I was trying for, is they are using these frequency to directly influence the human nervous system in other contexts.

Combine that with the "we can use your router like radar to monitor you". And, we have monitoring + manipulation from a single device.
@binkle
Doing some research...
Looks like 5G has an operating range of 410MHz to 71GHz
And, 6G is the same lower bound, but goes up to 300GHz.

The focus of 6G is higher node density limits, and faster data transfer rates.

AND, there is an additional line in the spec for 6G that was not part of 5G.

6G when implemented to the standard should have "New capabilities: 1-10 cm positioning, plus sensing such as object detection, imaging and mapping"
@binkle so, apart from what ever, cross over for manipulation may come into play in the future.

I think that the goal of 6G is something like the scanners on Star Trek, where you can get a real time 3d model of a space. (as that seems to be a stated goal of the standard xD)
@hazlin @binkle Considering how shit 5G is (due to the worse atmospheric absorption and etc at its operating band) I can only guess 6G will be even worse. My current phone was the first one I had that supported 5G and I had to go into settings and set it to force 4G LTE instead because I constantly lost connection and dropped calls when it used 5G. If the assholes do what they did with the 5G rollout (where the removed 3G infrastructure) again and remove 4G infrastructure it will be a major regresion and make cell service unusable anywhere outside major cities.
