I'd die of shame if a f*cking monolith .py script, in hoggen IE6 of all things, can properly display 50k files with previews, yet my native app, with modern SDKs, couldn't display 200 items without eating 10 gigs of ram.
Nextcloud was unusable, as I have folders with upwards of 150k files.

@enigmatico He didn't force you to use it. He just allowed it.
And for valid reasons mind you.

Bugs in the kernel could genuinely kill and lead to irreperable harm.
Larping ethics won't stop the malicious actors from using it to find the same bugs, that as you can see are plenty.

Also, as was stated, there is no technical merit to prohibiting it.

Love it or hate it, it's here to stay, and it's consequences will befall all.
