I think if I ever produced media involving a fictional world, I'd be very resistant towards making any bit of it lame. I would let rule of cool take over. The bad guys, good guys, even the boomer that grills, everyone gets steelmanned. The communists are looking like soviet propaganda poster characters, the nazis are looking like there own posters too. Neo libs and cons get to be 2sp00ky5me men in black. Technocrats and other nerd weirdos get to be classic evil geniuses. Cult leaders and esotericists get to be strange mysterious wizards. Lame doesn't belong in fiction
