There are people whose favorite video geme is about clicking menus. Just that. There's no 3D or even 2D world for them to immerse themselves in. At best there's very basic symbolic representations of whatever is happening, if even that. They "entertain" themselves by "playing" an Excel spreadsheet and watching numbers go up, with maybe a few sprite graphics moving around here and there to fool them into believing that they're still playing a video game.
