@sun @killyourfm damn right it is and its great for people who just want to follow and read stuff from outside of websites and not to make accounts on sites or give out your email to follow stuff, a lot of stuff can be made into RSS feeds these days and there are many sites out there that can convert sites that dont have RSS feeds as well and depending on what RSS reader you use it can all be done for free so thats another plus about RSS i see

@sun @killyourfm i know, i just like having RSS as an option to follow stuff online becasue you can follow blog, forums, video channels and many more stuff across the web. its pretty much like the subscribe system of the web the way i see RSS
@killyourfm if forums make a comeback we need to make sure they have full text RSS support as well so that people can follow stuff without needing to go to the site or log in all the time. I hope RSS is making a comeback as well, been using that for a few years now
@killyourfm damn right, i only found out about RSS in 2022 or 2023 when i ditched social media for a while and it solved my dilemma of wanting to follow and keep up with stuff on the web without needing to signup for 200+ sites when i just want to follow and read stuff and its been around since 1999 and it never really went away and a ton of sites still use it today and i hope more people redicover it for those who want to be free of algorithms and its nice to see the fedi has RSS support
