@pwm @vii only in that their archaic religious practices are metal as fuck (nailing and presenting petrified heads as a badge of honor and even sometimes gifted carved "war head" stands or kept bodies in chests around their home) and that they properly handled troop and familial systems (tag teaming system where a brother of the husband who goes to battle stays behind to care and raise the kids with the wife and next raid/war the brother tags in and the husband gets to stay home.)

they 1) were still too dumb to understand Christianity, creating Arianism, which died out afaik
2) were still too dumb to understand proper war tactics even when assisted by Roman literature
3) became gay.

@Dice @pwm @vii this isn't to say that southern germanics were pleasant to deal with, nor the rest, *but* i'd be chill living during that time as those people, is my point. As long as I wasn't western germanic i'd be fine; big fan of Scandinavians, even if some/a lot of them are gay.
