the guy in this datacenter moves at a snails pace. he asked me two days ago:

which is not something I was even aware of until today but apparently there are kernel parameters that allow you to disable keyboard input entirely which seems kind silly when we rely on IPMI. I told him no. No response. Some shit happened in my irl sphere, touched base with him because there was still no reply and there is still no reply. So, I poked him again but this time reminding him that it is because of this that I am sunsetting a business and the dragging heels thing is really starting to piss me off.
Originally he gave me an ETA (ike a week ago I think) of "early may" to REPLACE the network hardware on the original rack but I think he is trying to put our disks into a similar chassis to get the data off. I do not have an ETA at this time but if this response goes unanswered I will call his personal cell phone today.
