It's not even clear he will be allowed back to Cornell in the fall and I don't think "we" have any Ivy League colleges in our back pocket if they do kick him out.

To be fair I never actually said his life was already ruined. What I in fact said is that "I fear they really will absolutely ruin his life forever as a result of this" not that this has already happened. It's definitely too early to say if this has a happy ending or something much closer to an Eden Deckerhoff outcome (her gofundme did not go anywhere, she has been formally expelled from Florida State University, her research employment has been terminated and she can never go back on campus without the explicit permission of the FSU Police Department).
