@sun You're right. The 360 was PowerPC. Even though the early hardware was unreliable the 360 was probably Microsoft's best console. OG xbox was an awesome machine once modded. 360 is excellent when RGH'd The One/Series are kind of a disappointing follow up.
I am hearing rumors for their 25th anniversary they want to expand backwards compatibility again. If they do that would be awesome because I feel BC is one of the best features for the one/series systems.

@ooignignoktoo hilarious how long it took for them to manufacture one that didn't have solder problems though
@sun Yeah took them nearly 3 years to fix it. Falcon V2. It wasn't entirely Microsoft's fault though it was heavily due to TSMC using improper undefill for the GPU interposer.
I still got a working phat 360 but it's a late model. Aesthetically I like it in some ways more than the slim model but the built in wi-fi on the Xbox 360 S was a game changer and it was a more compact system. Sucked it lost the faceplate feature though because that was a really cool feature in the 360 phat that made the console unique. No other system before or after it did something like that.

@ooignignoktoo I dumped two white ones in the recycling but I still have a black one.
@sun If I get my hands on another Jasper/Kronos motherboard I'd probably try to find a broken black console with a good shell to reshell it.
