@lain you ever wonder if anyone actually knows what the word "capitalism" means? What are the sub requirements for capitalism, to be capitalism? Never ever do i see anyone who uses the word capitalism (both positive or negative sense) actually know what it is and what economic/market features it requires
In my school, capitalism was described in one sentence, very simple:
"Goods and services are exchanged for goods, services, or money, without everything having to go thru the state"
Never did i hear anything more about that
"But late-stage capitalism jokes funny"
yeah, true

I'm not one of the most knowledgeable or best to argue with people on economics philosophy and I'm not trying to bait but most of economics systems, including capitalism, communism and socialism, tends to assume that the world they're working is without malice or ignore the problems that can arise from the individual or small groups.
Which is what makes a lot of "capitalist" and "socialist/communist" countries to adopt things from other economic systems and in the end it becomes a mix and match of economic systems.
I find funny that a lot of "late-stage capitalism" people are the same who would shout at you that USSR, Cuba, China, ... "isn't real communism/socialism"

@kumicota @lain @lebronjames75 almost like theoretical thought experiments don’t apply irl.
It’s like how the biggest billionaire free market shills either beg for or live off gov handouts.
Economists have spent the past century saying “this thing will never happen” then it happens lol
