Self employment is hard unless you are in the scam economy

I hate piss Earth, and I'm stuck where I am which doesn't help.

This is 2026 America, my brother in nicecrew. The economy is the scam economy.

Every job I have ever had was because I knew someone. Even now at my current job the first thing I did was get friendly with the people who work adjacent to it so I have future options if needed.

Second job: guy my dad worked with occasionally
Third job: college roommate
Fourth job: moved to a new town where I knew now, so did it the old fashioned way
Fifth job: followed someone from the third fourth job to a new company
Sixth and seventh job: recruiters
Eighth job: followed someone forom seventh job
Ninth job: lateral in same company based on cross team collaboration

It's who you know

Literally the only way to get employed.
