@blitzed Turkeys in a suburban area can be a real pain in the ass. The little retards can get stubbornly aggressive for no obvious reason: chase you down the sidewalk, hold up a car at an intersection as they peck and attack it, etc.

If you stand on the wings and give their legs a yank, their skin comes clean off and all you need to do is gut them and throw them in the oven.

@toiletpaper @blitzed Yeah, but almost no one in the 'burbs would ever do such a thing. Most of them haven't even been fishing, let alone cleaned and cooked their catch. Most just run screaming like this driver.

I've had similar encounters with geese on the occasion, and since the Canada goose is a protected species, there's nothing else you can do, when other people are watching.

Self-defense should always be allowed. But I know if a sea lion attacks you, you're supposed to let yourself be eaten.

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
Tbh, I'm a fan of geese, and they make excellent guard animals for a farm. But in urban areas they can be a menace. The law against harming Canada geese has nothing to do with them being endangered. It's purely symbolic. They taste the same as any other goose. The way I figure it, if an animal goes out of their way to attack you for no good reason (ie. you're not threatening their young), then they just volunteered themselves for the soup pot.
